What I Would Do As President
|
I would lower the age requirement to become president to 18. If an 18-year-old can die for America, an 18-year-old should be able to lead America, too. I am 50, and I would never vote for anyone I went to school with! Most people my age are locked into the system. Locked into their minds. Locked into generations of genetically induced opinions. Locked into the mindset of power and prejudice. It is time to break free of all that. I would like to see an 18-year-old skater punk who really knows what's up elected to the office of president in my lifetime.
I would turn the white house into a crash pad and host weekend jam sessions in the rose garden every weekend! All you have to do is show up. Everyone gets to play! I would definitely give everyone Monday off. Everyone in America deserves Monday off. Just think of how much better we will feel when we all show up to work (late, of course) on Tuesday morning? I believe that this will lead to higher productivity in the workplace because workers will be more energized. Friendlier, and more sociable, too! All American workers will have a lot more cool stuff to talk about with their co-workers after their three-day weekends!
Now let's talk about some issues.
Education - School sucks. We really need to start teaching our kids the right things. Like, music appreciation. I say, bring back the vinyl record! The youth of America would be much better off listening to better sounding records on turntables through speakers with their friends, than listening to that over-compressed mp3 garbage that passes for music through those lousy little ipod headphones by themselves. Let's make music a social event again! More dances and music appreciation classes. Perhaps I will name Jack Black Secretary of Rock & Roll education. He knows that it's all about the band. If he is not available, I will approach Alice Cooper. Every kid needs to know the words to, "School's Out For Summer!" And our kids need to get more exercise. When our kids begin listening to vinyl records, they will have to get up, walk over to the turntable, and flip the record over. That's all I did when I was a kid, and I'm healthy! I think this is a great exercise program for everyone. Even... Well, especially adults!
War- War sucks almost as much as school. Well, maybe a little more. What Would NOBODY tell our beautiful American mothers if their children were the ones who died? NOBODY wants war. NOBODY wants to start WW III! NOBODY wants to have to kick a$$ on the bad guys. NOBODY wants to get along with everybody and have peaceful coexistence with all! Remember. If we see bad guys over there, they see bad guys over here. So let's all be good guys and party our asses off. Together. As one. Peace!
Immigration - My policy on immigration is simple. If I didn't live here I would try to come here, too. We need to build more tunnels, provide fresh bottled water, and send out welcoming commitees instead of border patrol agents to greet illegal immigrants and make them feel wanted. Also, I would like to provide weigh stations for drug runners so that they can weigh their drugs for distribution before they hit our cities. I want these dealers weighing their drugs out properly so American citizens who use drugs do not get ripped off.
And on the serious side regarding immigration; We must be compassionate. We cannot just round up millions of people and destroy all those families. And what is the point of doing that anyway? Our borders are wide open. We must look at every immigration case on a case-by-case basis. It is just wrong to take a hard-working individual and his wife... good people... and strip them from their beautiful, young, straight A, born in the USA, student daughter... with no mercy whatsovever... like the case I heard about last night... I was in tears. A beautiful eight-year-old child having her parents taken away from her. And their crime? Wanting a better life. Raising their American born daughter... Who may never see her parents ever again. We are better than that, man. We have to be better than that.
Minimum wage? Yes! All senators and members of the House of Representatives should get minimum wage! Perhaps that would make them a little more sensitive to the needs of all Americans! As your next president, NOBODY will be more than happy to accept minimum wage with a 50 minute lunch hour and two eight minute breaks a day.
War on drugs - NOBODY thinks the troops should be fighting the war on drugs. They should not be operating heavy machinary like tanks, bombers, or aircraft carriers on drugs. We are losing the war on drugs because the DEA is not going after the real enemy. Let's discuss marijuana. The DEA is wasting it's time going after the dealers and growers. The real enemy in the war on marijuana is God. The DEA needs to go after God because marijuana is a plant, and God created plants. Therefore only God can be charged wih the creation, pollenation, and cultivation of marijuana. Mother Nature can be charged as an accomplice.
Abortion - Nobody has the right to tell a woman what she can or can not do with her own body. At the same time, Nobody has the right to take an innocent life. The solution is very simple. A woman must always have every medical option available to her. We must also create more options for the unborn child by raising the level of respect and compassion for women everywhere and by making it easier for more good people to adopt and care for unwanted children.
