A gunman who may have explosive devices has taken a small number of hostages on the first floor of the headquarters of the Discovery Channel in Silver Spring, Md., and police were negotiating with the man to surrender,, the authorities said.
“We’re trying to get him to release the hostages and surrender peacefully,” Montgomery County police chief J. Thomas Manger said.
The chief said he believed most of the 1,900 employees were safely evacuated out of the building, but that “a small number of hostages are with the suspect.”
Montgomery County Police Cpl. Dan Friz said that The Discovery Corporation was identifying the man as James J. Lee, although the police themselves were not confirming that information.
“His concerns are with the Discovery Corporation right now,” Capt. Starks said. “There may be some other potential devices with him or near him that he brought in, but none of this is confirmed.”
The hostage situation began at 1 p.m. today, according to Chief Manger, when “a man entered the discovery building through the main entrance. He came in and was wearing metallic canister devices on his front and back. He also pulled a handgun out and was waving a handgun. The man told everyone to just, ‘stay still’ and he has remained on the first floor area of the Discovery building.”
A Web site owned by Mr. Lee, SaveThePlanetProtest.com was established in January 2008, according to domain name records, and it asserts that Discovery’s programming was hurting the environment rather than helping.In early August the home page of the Savethe PlanetProtest site was listed as being “Under construction.” Sometime since then, it was put back online with a list of demands. The author of the Web site called for Discovery to show programs about how to save the planet by decreasing the human population.
A Discovery employee who now works at the company’s New York office, but was based in Silver Spring for many years, said the man behind the SaveThePlanetProtest.com Web site “used to picket” outside the headquarters on a regular basis.
“I saw him at least once a month,” the employee said on Wednesday. “He would pay homeless people to help hold his placard.”
The employee said the man’s complaints on the placards were similar in tone to the complaints expressed on his Web site. The employee spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing hostage situation.
Discovery Communications is one of the foremost providers of environmental and educational television programming. It operates the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, and a number of other cable channels.
Its headquarters building, completed in 2003, was a vital part of the redevelopment of downtown Silver Spring.
I thought this was a pretty good opinion article and I agree that it is dangerous for Americans to have such widespread hate talk because I think it is also bad for business. Not sure who the author is because the name is not showing up on their page for some reason.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The fact that 24 percent of Americans believe Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to a poll just released by Time magazine, and the ongoing controversy about building a Muslim community center and mosque near Ground Zero reflect widespread anti-Islam feelings in the country.
Americans have the right to believe anything and the legal right to express their views, even when they are false or hateful.
But national security experts who are in a position to know have grown concerned that all this anti-Muslim bigotry parroted all over the airwaves daily is truly a threat to the nation. It alienates and angers millions throughout the world.
"Islamic radicals are seizing on protests against a planned Islamic community center near Manhattan's Ground Zero and anti-Muslim rhetoric elsewhere as a propaganda opportunity and are stepping up anti-U.S. chatter and threats on their websites," The Wall Street Journal reported on Aug. 23.
Lumping the world's 1.5 billion Muslims into one group of extremist sects like al-Qaida actually helps those sects recruit new members, warns "Militant Islamic Ideology," a book just published by the U.S. Naval Institute Press.
That simplistic philosophy "feeds into al-Qaeda's objectives of portraying themselves as the defenders against injustices committed upon Muslims," writes author Youssef H. Aboul-Enein, a naval officer and top adviser at the Joint Intelligence Task Force for Combating Terrorism.
Militant extremists like al-Qaida, he believes, "alienate not only the United States but also Islamist political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. It is time for a more nuanced definition of this threat."
By now, the refrain is dully familiar. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., said building a Muslim center near Ground Zero would be similar to displaying a Nazi logo near the Holocaust Museum in Washington. The Rev. Terry Jones, a minister at the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., proclaimed that Sept. 11 should be "International Burn a Koran Day." Local fire department officials denied him a permit, but Jones plans to go ahead with his plans to burn books next month.
Evan F. Kohlmann, who tracks computer websites of militant jihadist groups for Flashpoint Global Partners, a security consulting firm, told The New York Times that al-Qaida supporters are seizing on the mosque controversy "with glee." The U.S. Departments of Defense and Justice are among Flashpoint's clients.
Kohlmann called the anti-Islam rhetoric associated with the Muslim center dispute "disturbing and sad" and predicted it is likely to fuel anti-American sentiments and provoke more violence.
Thoughtful Americans know that the country has grown past these ugly outbreaks again and again. Every group has had to struggle first for tolerance and then acceptance. It happened to Eastern Europeans, Italians, Irish, Catholics, Jews, Japanese, blacks, women, Hispanics. The experiences are uneven, slow and painful, but the story of the United States generally trends toward more diversity and more acceptance.
Indeed, nationally and locally, plenty of people have spoken out in defense of fellow peace-loving, taxpaying Americans who happen to also be Muslim. Those responses have come from Christians and Jews, Democrats and Republicans, to name a few.
Demonizing everyone who believes in Islam might be an effective tactic for some political leaders, but it is not in America's best interests, either in the long or short term. Nor is it in America's best tradition.
I find it disgusting that some Americans would be so un-American in their treatment of Muslims. This country is supposed to be a beacon of freedom to the world. I am ashamed of some of our fellow Americans because how they treat the Muslim community.

The store clerk was an actor too and this was all a staged event to see how the average person would react when they were witness to an injustice. I think the number of racist they ran into was kinda high compared to that of the majority of citizens in the US because this video was shot in Waco, Texas. Anyways, that is kinda the set-up for the show. It sucks to see that some people would be crappy Americans when put to the test.
In her radio show, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination ... End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fairprice for her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors.They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination thanhomosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear readingglasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garmentsmade of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help.

But in those of the popular character, in Governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. And, there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be, by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. Well, after my last post about documents being hacked from top global warming experts I had quite a bit of time to read through tons of email messages from these "leading experts". I think I have read enough to know by now that these people are terribly disgusting and dishonest people who have manipulated data and lied to the American public as well as the international community. They had a motive and they manipulated the data well. These experts are very articulate and they were very convincing in crafting their lies. They have abused their positions, power and big shot degrees to screw you and I over. In the email messages there is clear evidence of them suppressing information, manipulating the numbers, hiding finding, and just plain outright dishonesty. They routinely have suppressed alternative views, would not share access to data and research and have manipulated their way into obtaining approval for yours and my money by using fear and dishonesty. Not to get too sidetracked here but it is really shocking that this many University and Government professionals could collude into manipulating the public to steal their money. I have seen this exact type of manipulation in a couple of other areas that I am aware of and that is in language research and religion. I'm not throwing out a conspiracy theory here but this is the exact type of behavior that has gone on among University researchers internationally for literally hundreds of years.
Why are these documents important? These documents were hacked from the Climatic Research Unit at East Anglia University in the U.K. "In the early 1980s, with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, scientists at the United Kingdom's University of East Anglia established the Climate Research Unit (CRU) to produce the world's first comprehensive history of surface temperature. It's known in the trade as the "Jones and Wigley" record for its authors, Phil Jones and Tom Wigley, and it served as the primary reference standard for the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) until 2007. It was this record that prompted the IPCC to claim a "discernible human influence on global climate." "
One thing that kinda gets me about this is how so many on the right have known that these scientists are full of crap and have been manipulating the public using scare tactics but they fail to see how this very same thing has been done on a much grander scale (if you can believe that) with religion. This should teach us all a lesson in relying on government and University research for evidence. The numbers are fudged and those charged with providing the peer-reviewed "reliable" evidence are full of crap. A very common tactic among those who say that climate change is man-made is to pick out a small piece of your argument that they find wrong and use that against you to say that your entire "theory" is wrong. That exact same method is used by religion apologists and is very effective (those who have read Aristotle's Rhetoric should be familiar with this.) Another common tactic that is used by these researchers is to say that your dissenting opinion or research has not been "peer reviewed" and so its not valid. Well, when the peer reviewers are in the same field and you are in it together and manipulate the data together .. then that is a dangerous thing. Anyways, that rant was short lived ... so back to the subject -

Anyways, I have read enough of the emails by now to show you that they have indeed squelched dissenting opinion and have manipulated data. Here are a few of the messages where that is proven although there are way to many to list (shockingly way too many) -
Once again ..... take some time and read through the documents for yourself and see if you think that you may have been duped on the severity of man made global warming. Keep in mind these guys are into global warming research for a living and if their research shows its not that big of a deal then they might be out of a job or out of a possible contract. You will see over and over in these emails evidence of them fudging and manipulating facts to do exactly that.
Thank hackers for blowing open the lies of scientists by hacking into their servers and stealing their documents which pretty much show that they have been conspiring to lie to the public about global warming for years. Some of the documents stolen are now available on and I have downloaded the documents myself and I must say that they look very very legit. The documents have damaging information from some of the worlds most influential climate researchers showing they conspired to lie to the public to influence public policy. I have not read through all of the documents yet but the ones I have read look pretty bad. I'm not sure what this is going to do for the overall global warming debate but the documents appear to be pretty damaging. Anyways, I am going to buy some aqua-net.

I told you guys that the moon landing was a hoax. Now NASA is saying that they have found water on the moon and that it is abundant on the moon. Well if the Eagle had landed then why didn't they know water was abundant on the moon in 69 when we landed there. They didn't probe the moon first before they went there to figure out if they could land a space ship on its surface? What the heck did these guys do while vacationing on the moon back in 1969? NASA wants more money so they can send more monkeys up into space.

The privatized services which the American people believe are important can be paid for privately and voluntarily.
Foreign Intervention and Foreign Wars - The government should protect the nation from attack or invasion, however, this does not mean interfering with the affairs or wars of other nations. It is time to bring all troops home and dismantle the military-industrial complex down to a level necessary to protect the nation from attack. No war should ever be waged without a congressional declaration of war.
National Defense- We support the maintenance of a sufficient military to defend the United States against aggression. The United States should both abandon its attempts to act as policeman for the world and avoid entangling alliances. We oppose any form of compulsory national service.
War on Drugs- Quite simply, the war on drugs is a total failure. It is time to look at different alternatives. Individuals have the moral right to engage in what others might consider to be self-destructive behavior. This is the essence of human freedom. The war on drugs has destroyed families, caused violent crime, encouraged government corruption, and trampled upon our Constitution. The war on drugs is destroying the very fabric of our society. It should be ended through the total legalization of all drugs.
Abortion- Individuals own their own bodies and have a Constitutional right to privacy (since those rights not taken away by the Constitution are retained by the people). Government should not, in any manner be involved in abortion, neither promoting and paying for it nor forbidding it. However, we deplore abortion and think that it is immoral and believe that there are much better alternatives such as adoption.
Education - There is no better example of socialistic central planning than public (government) schooling. The entire education system depends on compulsory-attendance laws for customers, and funding is coerced through taxation. The results are predictable: students hate to learn and, even worse, are indoctrinated with the government's officially approved version of the proper role of government in a society. The only solution is a total separation of school and state - a repeal of compulsory-attendance laws and school taxes. Let the consumers decide the specific educational vehicle for each of their children and let entrepreneurs furnish those vehicles.
Foreign Aid - Foreign aid should be ended immediately. Foreign aid is nothing short of welfare and bribery for foreign officials and governments.
Environment- We support a clean and healthy environment and sensible use of our natural resources. Private landowners and conservation groups have a vested interest in maintaining natural resources. Pollution and misuse of resources cause damage to our ecosystem. Governments, unlike private businesses, are unaccountable for such damage done to our environment and have a terrible track record when it comes to environmental protection.
Internal Security - The defense of the country requires that we have adequate intelligence to detect and to counter threats to domestic security. This requirement must not take priority over maintaining the civil liberties of our citizens. The Bill of Rights provides no exceptions for a time of war.
Social Security / Other Welfare Programs - It is morally wrong for the state to take money from one person and give it to another. A person has the right to accumulate unlimited amounts of wealth and decide for himself what to do with that wealth. This right to choose is the essence of human freedom. Social Security is not a contract but rather a tax-and-welfare scheme, just like any other. Social Security, along with all other welfare programs, should be repealed immediately. Let each person decide for himself how to plan for his future. Let the truly needy be helped through the willing hearts of individuals, through voluntary action, through families, neighborhoods, church groups, civic groups, charitable organizations, and the like. We must recapture the American spirit of voluntary giving.
Self-Determination- Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of individual liberty, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to agree to such new governance as to them shall seem most likely to protect their liberty.
Gun Rights- We fully support the 2nd Ammendment with no exceptions.
Pet Projects Funding - We will use funds collected from taxes for stripper training at local community colleges.
People have a right to live their lives any way they choose, so long as their conduct is peaceful. This right is fundamental and it preexists government. The primary reason that government is called into existence is to protect the exercise of this right. No government, not even a democratically elected one, has the legitimate authority to regulate or interfere with the exercise of this basic right.

The Hugs not Drugs campaign is completely and totally offensive to people without arms. What do they do instead of using drugs? There should be some way that the government should protect us from such blatantly offensive slogans.
If I were President... I would immediately end all spending on needless foreign wars. Unless we are in imminent danger and being attacked then there is no real justification for spending money in foreign lands policing their citizens. Israel is not serious about peace. If Israel were serious about peace then they would not have just approved the construction of new settlements in the West Bank. I think that talk is cheap and if the Israeli's are serious about peace than they need to quit committing acts of war. Stealing land is an act of war. I am sure that most Americans will end up backing the Israeli's although our government has repeatedly told them not to build these settlements on stolen land because that hurts peace efforts. Anyway, Israel once again proves that they are only committed to claiming they want peace ... but their actions are acts of war. This video is pretty disturbing. I realize that Bush had many similarities to Hitler in how he handled government but the whole Youth Compulsory Military Service is scarry. The plan allowed up to $400 million in covert spending for activities ranging from spying on Iran's nuclear program to supporting rebel groups opposed to the country's ruling clerics, veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh reported in the New Yorker magazine.
While the administration has been waging a low-grade covert campaign against Iran for at least three years -- consisting mainly of cross-border raids targeting groups tied to attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq -- the new policy represents a significant expansion, the report contends. The prospect of a broader covert presence inside Iran also has raised concerns among some congressional and military officials about a possible escalation leading to a broader military conflict, it states.
The article drew a sharp reaction from administration officials, who denied that U.S. forces were engaged in operations inside Iran.
"I can tell you flatly that U.S. forces are not operating across the Iraqi border into Iran, in the south or anywhere else," U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan C. Crocker said yesterday during an interview on CNN's "Late Edition."
Hersh reported that the approval for expanded covert authority was contained in a "Presidential Finding," a highly classified document that lays the legal groundwork for all covert activities by U.S. intelligence officials. The Iranian finding was presented late last year to eight congressional leaders -- the top Democrats and Republicans in the Senate and House, and on the intelligence committees of both chambers -- in keeping with a requirement for congressional notification. In theory, Congress can challenge a proposed covert action by denying funding.
Spokesmen for the intelligence committees declined to comment, citing the strict rules of secrecy governing such documents. The CIA also declined to comment. "The CIA does not, as a rule, comment on allegations regarding covert operations," agency spokesman George Little said.
The article, quoting unidentified administration officials, said the primary objectives of the covert activity included gathering intelligence on Iran's nuclear program as well as assisting Iranian opposition groups in their bid to undermine the current regime. Among the opposition groups allegedly receiving cash and other assistance are ethnic Balochi dissidents in southern Iraq as well as established resistance groups such the Mujaheddin-e Khalq.

Well, I just logged in today and noticed that I have been accused of cheating for a candidate that I don't support. Anyone with a brain can see that both Musicman and RobDiesel are the only ones that would have something to gain from a RobDiesel run-off win. I find it strangely absurd that both Musicman and RobDiesel are tied to the cheating, have made baseless accusations against BD and I and have been talking about it all day long although we have not been on the site all day.
Obviously, Erock is getting screwed by Musicman and his cronies to try to break up the Republican party. Report: Dallas-Fort Worth drivers mean, rude, dangerous By LEE WILLIAMS
A national survey has confirmed what most of us already knew: Drivers in the Dallas-Fort Worth are mean, rude and dangerous.
Only drivers in New York are worse, according to the AutoVantage In the Driver’s Seat Road Rage Survey released Tuesday by the Affinion Group, a national marketing and consulting firm.
Detroit was No. 3, followed by Atlanta and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
The survey included the top 25 metro areas in the United States.
“The thing that really drove Dallas-Fort Worth up the list was that they were number one for tailgating, cutting off people with no warning and people talking on their cell phones,” said Michael Bush, public relations director for Affinion.
New York drivers were especially bad at making obscene gestures.
Those surveyed said the most common causes of road rage were:
■ Cutting others off, speeding, talking or texting on cell phones and eating;
■ People who are frustrated and angry, or who had a bad day at work;
■ Being in a hurry;
■ Traffic congestion, poor road conditions or road work;
■ Road hogs (selfish drivers).
The city with the most courteous drivers? Portland.

The FDA has warned General Mills that they must change their label because of their claim about Cheerios' ability to lower cholesterol cause the product to be a drug under agency regulations. The FDA said that claims made on the product's package stating that Cheerios is clinically proven to lower cholesterol can only be made if the product were to be approved as a drug.

Just because Madoff stole $150 billion from thousands of victims doesn't mean that he should be forced to live in a jail cell. The man is rich and rich people aren't supposed to go to jail. :)
In the United States, many consider us to be free citizens. The notion of freedom is erroneous. If we are free than why are we forced to pay taxes against our free will? We are forced laborers for the government. We are required to pay money out of our earnings or we go to jail. That is not freedom. That is forced servitude.
In a truly free country, paying for the services of government would be based on the free will of the citizen to pay whatever they wanted with the freedom to pay whenever they wanted. Not in the USA. We are born tax paying slaves. What if we don't want to support the corrupt practices of our government? We don't have that option. Prison is for those that try to be free from taxes. We are free to work hard as slaves to pay but we lose our so-called "freedom" if we don't pay. That is not freedom. If Americans used their brains instead of following the other blind sheep, America could actually make the claim of being the first country to offer actual freedom. Wouldn't that be nice. Too bad Americans are brainwashed into believing that they are born free. I really have my doubts as to whether or not we can obtain real freedom in this country, as our forefathers sought but never fully obtained. We need a change. Recently, Pope Benedict XVI revoked the excommunication of bishop Richard Williamson who said that he did not believe that 6 million Jews died in a holocaust in Germany during WWII. This has led to criticism from many that think that Williamson is just a crazy holocaust denier. Others believe that Williamson's denial of 6 million Jews being killed by Hitler was a good thing because he reflected what they believe to be true. Many have suggested that there is not a whole lot of evidence showing that 6 million people were killed and they maintain that the numbers were quite a bit lower. They have even gone as far to suggest that Jewish people may have taken advantage of the aftermath of the war by fabricating some accounts of the severity of the Nazi's actions.
I for one think that the holocaust happened and the actions of Hitler were indeed a true holocaust but I can see why Williamson would deny this claim.

At whatever time and by whomsoever offered, holocausts were naturally regarded as the highest, because the most complete, outward expression of man's reverence to God. It is, indeed, true that certain passages of the prophets of Israel have been construed by modern critics into an utter rejection of the offering of sacrifices, the holocausts included; but this position is the outcome of a partial view of the evidence, of the misconception of an attack on abuses as an attack on the institution which they had infected.
The word 'holocaust' is from ancient Greek and means “wholly-consumed” as in something burnt completely in fire. It is not a new word. It was used in the early years of the Common Era. In the Greek the phrase 'whole burnt offering' is ὁλοκαύτωμα or holokautōma. When this word is Anglicised it becomes 'holocaust'. If the word only occurred once in the scriptures we could think that perhaps it was unusual, a word made up specifically at that time. The writer to the Hebrews in the Greek also uses the same word in the following,
"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou would not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou would not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;" (Hebrews 10:4-8)
This passage actually quotes the Old Testament, specifically Psalm 40:6. The word in Psalm 40 for 'burnt offerings' in the Septuagint version is the word holokautōma 'holocaust' also. In fact this word occurs 59 times in the Septuagint always in relationship to a whole burnt offering made in sacrifice. In many of the occurrences the word is associated with atonement. The passage from Leviticus below is typical (see also Leviticus 14:19-20,31,15:15, 16:16, Numbers 6:11, 8:12,15:25. Nehemiah 10:33).
"And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he has sinned, and it shall be forgiven him." (Leviticus 5:10).
The word 'holocaust' is used for the offering made on the day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:25,27). It is also the word used for the offering made with bread and wine (Numbers 29:6). The association with bread and wine points forward to the symbols used by Yeshua for his sacrifice.
Yahweh is spoken of as causing a holocaust as He consumes Elijah's offering on Mt Carmel.
"Then the fire of Yahweh fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench." (1Kings 18:3)
The following are the principal purposes of the whole burnt-offerings prescribed by the Mosaic Law: (1) By the total surrender and destruction of victims valuable, pure, innocent, and most nearly connected with man, holocausts vividly recalled to the Hebrews of old the supreme dominion of God over His creatures, and suggested to them the sentiments of inner purity and entire self-surrender to the Divine Majesty, without which even those most excellent sacrifices could not be of any account before the Almighty Beholder of the secrets of the heart. (2) In offering holocausts with the proper dispositions worshippers could feel assured of acceptance with God, Who then looked upon the victims as a means of atonement for their sins (Lev.,i, 4), as a well-pleasing sacrifice on their behalf (Leviticus 1:3, 9), and as a cleansing from whatever defilement might have prevented them from appearing worthily before Him (Leviticus 14:20). (3) The holocausts of the Old Law foreshadowed the great and perfect sacrifice which Jesus, the High Priest of the New Law and the true Lamb of God, was to offer in fulfillment of all the bloody sacrifices of the first covenant (Hebrews 9:12, sqq.; etc.).
Would you dare suggest that the Jews were not religious sacrifices being offered to God? Would you dare suggest that Jews were not offered up as atonement for our sins? Are you a holocaust denier?
George W. Bush wins the worst President in American history contest hands down. I can say this definitively. No other President in the US since its inception was half as ignorant or wrong as George Junior. George started out on the wrong foot with a stolen election and he never was able to handle the budget of the taxpayers even from the very beginning. Good ole' George loved to spend. He was careless with money and he loved his own little special interest groups. George lied and lied and lied.
Here are just a few of George's big problems over the years.
1. George was never qualified to be President. 2. George was an arrogant leader. 3. George liked to tell fibs. 4. He lied about Iraq all the way around and got busted but never paid the price. 5. He got a bail out from Monica Lewinsky. No wait ... wrong President, George bailed out the banks instead of the American taxpayer.
Well George .... We sure are sorry but you will not be getting a good job reference from this country. You sucked. Do us all a favor. Don't show up to the living Presidents annual meetings.
