| Last chance for 2007 |
Your last chance for the 2007 election, and then we start all over.
If you haven't won a primary there is still hope for winning in 2007. You can mount a "write-in" campaign. Only one vote per candidate is allowed, and we will begin absentee voting for write-ins in early October. But your best bet may be to start laying the seeds for the big race in 2008. In 2008 we will incorporate an entirely new algorithm that takes in to account not just the rating other members give you, but your "electability" as a real candidate. The more you put in to your platform, and the more you engage in debate, and commenting, the higher your rating. |

| It's your turn: Run for President |
U4prez.com is the social networking phenomenon that not only lets you network with like minded people, but also lets you run a virtual campaign for president. After creating your profile you'll find it's easy and fun to;
- Debate the hot issues of the day
- Comment on other candidates platforms.
- Build supporters for your campaign.
- Support other candidates
- Create your own issue boards.
- Make back-room deals with other candidates
- And promote your campaign to non-members.
- Compare your rating to Hillary, Rudy and others.
We work hard to keep the site energized with lively debate, but also clean of foul language, racy pictures and other items that detract from so many other social networking sites. So be wary! If you get in a heated debate and start to lose control, it can cost your ratings points, suspension, or even deletion of your profile. |

| About U4prez.com |
In 2006 IntraLink decided to undertake an entire year of research in to the evolving web. What we found was a maturing process. Web site members were no longer content to add content, invest in a site, and then be on their own when it comes to support issues. Users want an active site that they can rely on to help them get the most from the experience. This is ulitmately the direction of Web 3.0. In short, we determined that there wasn't going to be a Web 4.0. The technology will change, but the operation of a site has reached the level of maturity as a bricks and mortar business. If you don't offer exceptional customer service, your competition will. After all of this research we intended to work on our webmarketing service, and use the knowledge to provide our customers with a better level of marketing than they were accustomed too. We wanted to create comprehensive frameworks that worked much the way tradtional Madison Ave. marketing campaigns work, but focused on the web. And then came a long lunch. As often happens during long lunches, politics crept in to the conversation. Intralink's web director Eric Gurr was expressing frustration at the level of candidates running for president. One simple statement led to the creation of this entire site. "I think the average Joe is probably just as well suited to be president as any of the candidates currently running." And the light bulb went off. |

| Where we go from here |
The next generation of U4prez is slated to debut in October of 2007. The voting rules for the 2007 election will remain as they are. Candidates rate each other, and the highest rated candidates face off for the big election. But over the last six months we've learned quite a bit about how the process really works. We spent countless man hours trying to create an algorithm that mirrored a real election. What does it really take? We then compiled all of that information and came up with CR. Candidate Rank is the piece of the puzzle that determines how well you'd really do. |
